FAQ

As of now there is not a mighty lot going on in front of the scenes, so newsletters happen rarely. As I am implementing the shop you might get notified about an upcoming shop drop occasionally. Maybe once a quarter.

Every piece is made by hand from start to finish, including lots of time, material, energy and a few losses along the way. If you choose to buy one, you are getting a one-of-a-kind piece, not mass production.
My process generally follows this structure:
1. Designing the piece
2. Rolling out stoneware clay into slabs
3. Hand building the piece
4. Surface design with underglazes/sgraffito work
5. Slow drying to prevent cracks
6. Bisque firing to 950°C
7. Glazing by hand
8. Glaze firing to 1230°C
It can take weeks from start to finish, and not every piece makes it through all the stages. -
Mostly in my shop, and sometimes at exhibitions and markets. I'll post about those on Instagram.
-
A bit of both! Sometimes there is a drop, sometimes the shop stays open and I refill it when there is something new. There is no set schedule. I announce new pieces on Instagram and in the newsletter, so sign up if you don't want to miss anything.
-
Because everything is handmade, and that takes time. Slab building, cutting, drying, firing, glazing, firing again. Slow and steady.

You can always ask if you have a project in mind. For my existing designs you can sometimes pick colours and sizes. I will not take on any custom orders that do not align with my design aesthetic or ask me to copy someone else's work.
Note: custom-made pieces are excluded from the 14-day right of withdrawal. -
Yes! My glazes are lab tested, you can find the report here.

Contact me with a photo and I'll remake the piece for the current price.
As every piece is unique it will not come out exactly the same and the design might vary a little. It is rather a sibling than a clone and can have a longer turnaround time depending on my capacity, please be patient.
Note: custom-made pieces are excluded from the 14-day right of withdrawal. -
As for now I want to concentrate on shipping in Germany and the EU. Worldwide shipping is in the back of my mind but seems utterly complicated as of now. Let's start simple.
-
I ship with DHL, Hermes or DPD, and delivery usually takes 2–5 working days. Shipping costs are shown before you check out.
-
Not at the moment. If I have more fixed studio days pickup might be possible in the future.
-
I have not so far. It depends on the project and where it'll be seen. If you have an idea, get in touch.
